The County of Paintearth is a progressive rural municipality in East Central Alberta. We are proud to boast a strong working relationship with the energy sector. The County boasts an 83 unit wind farm, intense natural resource drilling programs, is home to the Battle River Coal Generating Station, and recently completed construction of an Eastern Alberta Transmission Line. In addition, Highway 36 (High Load Corridor) is located in the middle of the County. The Paintearth region is a progressive municipality with many opportunities.
